My First Post: A Dream Realized – ChasolenOnline is LIVE!

Friends, colleagues, fellow dental professionals,

Today marks a momentous occasion for me – the launch of ChasolenOnline! I can hardly express the excitement I feel as this long-held dream finally becomes a reality. For years, I’ve envisioned a platform where I could share my passion for restorative dentistry, connect with dentists around the world, and contribute to the advancement of our field. And now, here it is.

Let me be clear: this isn’t just about putting together some videos and calling it a course. This is about sharing a lifetime of experience, countless hours in the clinic, and a deep-seated belief in the power of education to transform lives – both our patients’ and our own.

For 30 years, I’ve dedicated myself to the art and science of prosthodontics. I’ve seen the most complex restorative, occlusal, and implant presentations imaginable. And through it all, one truth has remained constant: patient success is built on a foundation of fundamental principles. We can have the most advanced technology at our fingertips, but without a mastery of the biologic, material, and mechanical principles that govern our work, we’re simply not reaching our full potential.

One of the core principles that drives me, and that is central to this first course, is the profound importance of saving teeth. In today’s world of readily available implants, I believe we sometimes lose sight of the incredible value of natural dentition. This course is dedicated to empowering clinicians with the knowledge and skills to confidently evaluate, diagnose, and treat cases with the goal of tooth preservation. Because, let’s face it, nothing truly replaces a natural tooth.

This isn’t about being anti-implant; quite the opposite. It’s about understanding the appropriate role of implants in modern dentistry and making informed, patient-centered decisions. It's about having the tools to confidently say, "We can save this tooth," and knowing exactly how to do it. Or, equally important, recognizing when an implant is the more predictable and beneficial long-term solution.

This first course is just the beginning. My vision for ChasolenOnline is to create a dynamic learning environment where we can all learn, grow, and inspire each other. I envision a community where we can discuss challenging cases, share our successes (and yes, even our mistakes, because that’s where some of the greatest learning occurs), and push the boundaries of restorative excellence.

I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to share this journey with you. I’m eager to hear your feedback, answer your questions, and engage in meaningful discussions. This is a collaborative effort, and I believe that by working together, we can elevate the standard of care in restorative dentistry and make a real difference in the lives of our patients.
